What are the Different Types of Painless Hemorrhoid Treatment?

Hemorrhoids are small pouches that form inside or outside your anus. It may be in singular or multiple clumps that are usually aggravated by pressure (e.g. sitting or standing). Pain associated with hemorrhoids is usually unbearable — all the more reason why you might like to avail a painless hemorrhoid treatment. There are several hemorrhoid treatments that are safe and painless.

Before, surgery has always been the better option compared to medications. Medical improvements on hemorrhoid treatments pushed aside invasive protocols. It paved way for painless hemorrhoid treatment to take over invasive medical procedures with better results and less risks.

Sometimes, hemorrhoids are treated with some alterations in your diet. Frequent constipation can cause pressure in blood vessels on your lower body part. Constant pressure on the blood vessels can weaken its walls, thus the pouch formation. To avoid this, you need to eat fiber rich food to combat constipation. Fiber rich foods like pineapple, oatmeal, whole grains, beans and legumes are some you might want to include in your diet. Adequate fluid intake should enhance the effects of fiber.

Your physician may also suggest bipolar coagulation where it uses direct coagulation through bipolar electrotherapy. Electrotherapy is directed on the mucus membrane near the hemorrhoid that produces clotting effects. It stops internal bleeding produced by ruptured hemorrhoids. This is a suitable procedure for those with internal hemorrhoids.

HAL or Hermorrhoidal Arterial Ligation is another painless treatment for hemorrhoids. This procedure uses a Doppler ultrasound flowmeter along with a protoscope. Using a needle and a thread, it forms a knot around the hemorrhoid and obstructs blood flow to the affected blood vessel. This stops the circulation of blood to that vein until it shrivels and falls off.

Another painless hemorrhoid treatment is rubber banding. This is a common procedure used for external hemorrhoids or clumps protruding outside the anus. This uses a small rubber band placed around the hemorrhoid and obstructs blood flow. This allows the hemorrhoid to shrink and fall off in about a week. This is conveniently done in the doctor’s clinic and doesn’t require extensive preparation. Rubber banding is more efficient if used in conjunction with sclerotherapy injection.

Super freezing is a method used to treat hemorrhoids as well. It uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the affected area. Freezing causes constriction of blood vessels, cutting off blood supply to that area. This obstruction causes the hemorrhoid to fall off so healthy tissue can develop. This method is effective in treating external hemorrhoids.

Painless hemorrhoid treatment may be better than surgery and medications. It’s safer, faster and cost-efficient. You should prevent recurrence of hemorrhoids by changing some lifestyle factors. Exercising and consuming healthy foods are some ways you can fight off hemorrhoid relapse. It’s better if you seek medical consultation immediately to prevent complications.

Hemorrhoids can have a considerable affect on your life.  Most would assume that surgical removal is the only way to deal with this problem, but this not always the case.

Most people are embarrased to tell their doctors about their hemorrhoid issues, but delaying might only make things worse. Usually, a doctor would prescribe a rectal assessment to detect internal hemorrhoids. Visual observation of protruding veins in the rectum may also show external piles.

Regular symptoms include throbbing, burning, swelling lumps (external piles), and bright-red blood in the stool or toilet paper after a bowel movement. Report any bleeding to your doctor at once since it could reveal a more severe underlying condition.

Some hemorrhoids are mild in nature and can disappear on their own, but there are those that need more concentrated treatment. Doctors may prescribe medications to shrink the piles.

There are quite a few factors that contribute to hemorrhoid formation. If your work requires you to sit or stand for long periods of time, then your possibility for hemorrhoids is high. Take a walk all through your coffee break if you sit for most of the workday. If you’re someone who stands the majority of the time during work (such as medical personnel), then have a seat every now and then.  The key thing is to get a balance.

What you eat can also increase your chances of piles.  Not getting sufficient fiber type foods or lack of water causing dehydration could cause constipation. You need to make sure that you drink a least two litres of water per day, and that you eat abundance of fiber rich foods, such as cereals,  fruit and vegetables.  These can all have a positive affect on your digestive and bowel systems, helping stop constipation.

Doctors often propose warm sitz bath on the anal area to decrease swelling and promote relaxation. Soaking the affected area in warm water for about 10 minutes can relieve pain. Placing ice packs on the rectal area can lessen swelling in external piles. Topical creams like petroleum jelly and cortisone creams will decrease irritation. You can moisten the toilet paper after a bowel movement to decrease irritation on the exposed vein.

Other alternative remedies like witch hazel cream, Butchers broom and Horse chestnut can improve  itchiness and soreness caused by piles.
