Hemorrhoids will give you the most uncomfortable experience. People who have this condition find it embarrassing to consult this with their doctors. Just thinking about it might’ve brought images of pain and itchy hemorrhoids. Want to get rid of it fast? Get itch-free in five easy methods!
So, why do hemorrhoids itch in the first place?
Internal hemorrhoids are irritating to the mucus membrane surrounding the anal area. With constant irritation, these mucus membranes produce more mucus to lubricate the affected region. Overproduction of mucus can lead to leakage outside the inner portion of the anus — and out to the rectum. When mucus membranes dry up, this produces itchy hemorrhoids making the area irritated.
Another factor can be due to pressure on the inflamed hemorrhoids. When pressure is added to the lower extremities, this makes the hemorrhoids become swollen and irritated. As this grow bigger, hemorrhoids become more irritated, thus the burning and swelling sensation.
Protruding vessels outside the rectum can be another cause to itchy hemorrhoids. External hemorrhoids are usually irritated due to cleansing agents like soap that can leave it dry and inflamed. Of course, without proper hygiene to the anal area, it can also irritate your hemorrhoids.
Treatments for hemorrhoids may vary. You can change your diet to improve hemorrhoid itching. Acidic food selections can increase the Ph in your stools. Caffeinated drink like coffee, sodas and other alcoholic beverages are some you need to avoid if you have this condition. Drinking adequate fluid intake should help ease the itchiness. It’s good to eat more fruits and vegetables to keep your body nourished and prevent constipation.
Hot stiz bath is one way to treat irritated hemorrhoids. Just use your bath tub or basin and have it filled with warm water. Clean the rectum first before starting this treatment. For 15 minutes, soak the area twice or five times per day.
There are several anti-itch medications for hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoid creams contain pain relieving and anti-itching properties such as witch hazel, 1% hydrocortisone and other herbs that may alleviate mild hemorrhoids. Be sure to read the labels to get maximum results.
There are several other ways you can combat itchy hemorrhoids. Preventing hemorrhoids to aggravate or develop is the most reliable cure you could get. Some hemorrhoids may go away naturally so this won’t need intensive treatments. Severe cases of hemorrhoids may cause infection and bleeding, all which requires medical treatments. Your doctor will be the best person to give you the appropriate treatments when there’s moderate to severe hemorrhoid formations.
